Bangkok: Stay, See, Do, Eat

PAPER PLANES

Love this! After living in Thailand last year, I’ve completely fallen in love with Bangkok — it’s easily one of my favorite cities in the world. Talat Rot Fai and Wat Pho have to be two of my favorite places in the city. Have you ever been during Songkran? Such a fun time to experience Bangkok’s different sides, from waterguns in the streets and markets to full on pool parties at fancy hotels.

The more I go, the more I appreciate it! Never been during Songkran but don’t know if I want to…I’ve started running away from even Chiang Mai’s craziness! 😉

  2. Julie says:

Just have to add that one of my fave hotels IN THE WORLD is in Bangkok – I would seriously fly there just to stay at this fantastic (mid-range) place. It’s called Phranakorn Nornlen (found it on TripAdvisor originally I think). Totally love it, send everyone I know there!

  3. Dale says:

Rod Fai was the highlight of our time in Bangkok, especially as it was pretty much free of foreigners when we went in 2013 which made it feel a whole lot more local than the weekend tourist market at Chatuchak.

    • Alana Morgan says:

I went a few months ago and still didn’t see many tourists but was totally overwhelmed by the amount of people there – I felt like there was more than at JJ!

  4. Rebecca says:

Such a great post! I live in Bangkok and seriously love this city, there are quite a few places on here that I’ve not yet been to so thank you!! Despite the closure threat to Soi 38 we walked past yesterday and many of the stalls are still there…for now!

Totally agree on the cheese! Such a treat! x
