I've always been fascinated by other cultures, places, traditions, languages, and communities. I love piecing a new place together, appreciating what makes it special, and seeing how different people live their lives. After nearly a decade living in Chiang Mai, Thailand, I still don't have a desire to 'settle down.' While 2020 certainly threw several curve balls, I can't think of anything else I love more than traveling and living abroad.
Here you'll find tons of curated recommendations about Thailand travel and beyond, all with a focus on traveling locally, intentionally, and responsibly.
Welcome.
Since 2012 I've published hundreds of posts on Paper Planes about traveling and living in Thailand. When it goes quiet here, it means I'm busy writing and supplying images to other travel and lifestyle outlets, like Lonely Planet as their ‘Chiang Mai Local.’

While Paper Planes is my creative outlet, I also work as a freelance travel journalist and offer English copywriting and content marketing services as my 'real job' through Morgan Media. In 2020, I made the shift to spend my time between Thailand, Seattle, and Europe. Most of my services, however, can be offered from anywhere and to brands anywhere.
Meet me over at the Morgan Media website to learn more.
